EFCC Arraigns 2 Suspects Over Forgery Of UK Visa Application Documents

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday July 25, 2016 arraigned the duo of Animashaun Sadiq Abimbola and Adeniji Olamide Modupeoluwa before Justice O.A Ipaye of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja on a 40-count charge of offences bordering on use of false documents and conspiracy to commit forgery contrary to sections 364 (1) and 363 (1) of the Criminal a Law of Lagos State and 409, 363 (1) and 5 (2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, No 11 of 2011.

The suspects are alleged to have forged various documents in the hope of obtaining a United Kingdom Visa from the British High Commission.

A date for trial will be communicated when the case is assigned to a substantive judge after the vacation.
