The beauty of snow flakes I can’t wait to see because I heard its a sight. Flaky lips however? Not a sight to behold and we can all attest to that fact. Typically exfoliating your dried and chapped lips before applying moisturizing lip balm can seem counter-intuitive but you should know that exfoliating is much more effective than the lip balm itself, I like to think that they work hand in hand and you can’t achieve the perfect lips without one or the other.
To ensure that we help you achieve a perfect and sumptuous lips (remember valentine is around the corner) here are a few steps on how to make a scrub for your lips;
What You’ll Need:
1 Tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1 Tablespoon of Honey and juice from half a lemon.
How You Should Proceed:
1. Mix both sugars in a small glass bowl (if you don’t have any use a small round bowl) then squeez the lemon juice unto the mix.
2. Stir the honey into the mix and combine well, once finished scoop the mixture into a lip pot or a smaller preservative container.
3. Using a clean mascara wand apply the scrub well enough on your lips and scrub away the dead skin flakes.
4. After scrubbing wait for approximately 30 seconds before wiping the mixture off using warm water and a wet washcloth. Afterwards dab a lip balm and you are done.
Apply this scrub once or twice a week to enable you keep that pout in tip top shape
